1. Our approach
We want interactions to be friendly, helpful and respectful. Differing opinions are welcome as long as they are expressed factually and without disparagement.
These guidelines supplement the terms of use. They apply to all content and interactions: posts, comments, profiles, pet profiles, images, videos, groups, events and private messages.
2. What is not allowed
Protecting people
- hate speech and disparagement of individuals or groups
- threats and calls for violence
- harassment, bullying and targeted humiliation
- sexual exploitation and any form of sexualised content involving minors
- publishing other people's private data without their permission
- impersonation and pretending to be someone else
Protecting animals
- animal cruelty and mistreatment of animals
- content that glorifies, promotes or trivialises animal abuse
- depictions of animal fighting or comparable practices
- instructions for conduct that violates animal welfare
Platform integrity
- illegal content and offerings
- fraud and deception
- spam and mass repetitive content
- unsolicited commercial advertising outside the areas provided for it
- misuse of the messaging feature, in particular unsolicited promotional messages
- infringement of copyrights and other third-party rights
- glorification of violence and of criminal offences
3. Responsibility for your content
Only upload content for which you hold the rights required for publication. If other people are identifiable in photos or videos, you need their consent – for minors, that of the holders of parental responsibility.
Please also bear in mind that posts may reveal your location, for example through spots, routes or events. Consider which information you want to share before publishing.
4. Notes for professional providers
Professional providers use the provider and business profiles intended for this purpose. Offers must be clear, truthful and – where required – identifiable as advertising.
Health-related claims must not be misleading. Advice within the community does not replace veterinary treatment. Always seek veterinary advice if an animal has health problems.
5. Reporting content
If you come across content, a profile or a message that violates these guidelines, please report it using the reporting feature in the app or by email.
Email for reports: pawsandppl@gmail.com. Please describe the issue as precisely as possible and include, where possible, information on how to find the content.
6. Moderation and possible measures
We review reports and, depending on the type and severity of a violation, may take measures including:
- notice or warning
- removing content or restricting its visibility
- restricting individual features
- temporary or permanent suspension of the account
- forwarding to competent authorities where legally required
You can object to a moderation decision by email. We will then review the case again.
